About After Gateway

After Gateway is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for adults with multiple and/or severe developmental disabilities.

Our day health program is certified through the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Aging as a specialized care provider for developmental disabilities. Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

After Gateway's program is endorsed by The Guilford Center Behavioral Health and Disability Services as a CAP provider for Individual Day Supports, Group Day Supports, and Respite, Non-institutional; and as a provider of IRPS Day Supports.

After Gateway offers limited medical services and treatments under the direction of a registered nurse but only with a physician's order. After Gateway does not offer rehabilitative services.

CARF International has accredited After Gateway for its adult day services for a period of three years. This is the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization. CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process than centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served.
